Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.
Our friend Damon surely identifies with this famous quote. When your trusty steed is a Ten-cylinder Gallardo and your ’rounds’ are a snowy mountain pass, what could go wrong?
Who needs a Quattro when your Lambo is All Wheel Drive!!
We have yet to figure out where Damon packs his pair of skis though!
Damon’s Facebook Page is full of people who use their exotics.
To keep a grip on his Bull in the sleet and snow, Damon came to us. Normally we recommend using the later Gallardo wheel, but Damon has a soft spot for the original equipment early wheel. He requested a thicker rim wrapped in suede, along with a suede hub. He chose our custom yellow stitching to match his interior.
A nice touch is the Texilium Twill Carbon Twelve O’clock ring, again in yellow. So, Damon …. Have fun playing in the snow!!
The SEMA show this year was bigger than ever. An event that we always look forward to, this week long gear-heads dream was a real success. MAcarbon shared our booth this year with T&B Carbon Manufacturing, our European sister company. T&B came all the way from Belgium to debut a new product line, ‘Pearl White Carbon’. This product has a white carbon weave with a subtle pearlescent coating.
We like ‘em both. Pick your favorite color.
Our friends from Wheel Boutique had the beautiful white McLaren MP4-12C parked at the HRE booth. They have great taste as it sports a MAcarbon steering wheel.
While there are always Mustangs and Camaros at SEMA, this year the hot car was the Scion FRS. From mild to wild, this is the car to ‘tune’ this year! But…. don;t hold your breadth for the MAcarbon FRS product line. The cars are always great, but, we also welcome old friends and new ones alike.
Our boys at GMG Racing did this R8 right!
Our crew from both sides of the pond! (from left to right)
Director of Laminated Production, Jonathon Tonet and his fiance Laura
President, John Borchelt (T&B and MAcarbon)
Director of Sales & Operations, Lane Skelton
Missing from the photo is Andre Pouliot and Caroline Tonet. Andre is our Director of Molded Production and Caroline is the Director of our European Operations. Despite their ‘slogging’ it at the booth for many hours, we were so busy all week we only remebered to take a picture when they were both off duty.
We look forward working with the many new clients that we met at SEMA this coming year.
MAcarbon is lucky to be located less than 2 hours from Monterey, CA where some of the best car events in the world are held every year over a span of 4 days. We have had a booth at the Concorso Italiano for 7 years running and it is always a highlight of our year. We get to show off our products and see our customers that we only know from talking on the phone and exchanging emails.
We arrived at the show on Thursday to set up our booth, then we drove up to the club house to have dinner with the Lamborghini Club of America. In attendence at the dinner was The legendary Lamborghini test driver, Valentino Balboni and Anthony Ray A.K.A. “Sir Mix-a-Lot”. A big thanks to Andrew Romanowski for having us at the dinner…It was a blast!
The next day, we went to the show where we were surrounded by Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and other exotic cars. We counted about 20-25 cars on the green with MAcarbon parts installed, including a Ferrari F50 GT1 (1 of 3). We made two sets of diffuser fins for this car and it was one of the highlights of the show.

Here are some pictures from the show…Enjoy!
MAcarbon recently did some custom parts in conjunction with Manhattan Motorcars, the Lamborghini dealer in NYC, for a Balboni customer of theirs. In addition to the “normal” CF interior, we decided to go a bit farther and make some parts that would really suit the Balboni.
Certainly the stripe is the calling card of the LP550-2, so we took that theme onto the door sills and the steering wheel. The 12 o’clock racing stripe is very popular for most of our customers so we added the thin gold stripe to the left edge to mimic the car. To get more carbon on the wheel, we used the 2009 style of wheel with the carbon 3&9 spokes.
For the sills, we again used the stripe theme. Notice that the sills are asymmetrical so that the gold stripe is oriented with the stripe on the car.
Both of these products can be ordered through MAcarbon for your Balboni.

For the wheel, this link will open our wheel configurator to the Balboni configuration.

MAcarbon will be sponsoring the upcoming Exotics Expose-Supercar & Exotics Car Show on September 12th at Old Westbury Gardens in Wesbury, New York.
We will have a both set up and several cars in show will have MAcarbon parts. Detailing Dynamics is putting on this show with Exotics Rally and Detailing Dynamics will have a Ferrari 360 and Porsche 997 GT3 with complete MAcarbon interiors featured.
We look forward to seeing all of our present and future customers and enjoying what is guaranteed to be an incredible show.
Our steering wheels have been very popular with MAcarbon’s customers. Each wheel is made to the customer’s specification with a myriad of options for them to pick from. Photos of previous wheels helped customers get some ideas but most had to simply imagine what the wheel would look like. This flexibility has also lead to a lot of confusion on how much a wheel would actually cost. So after almost six months of development, MAcarbon has launched our online wheel configurator. Now a customer can play around with all of the options available for a wheel, see right in the window what the wheel willlook like and have the system automatically calculate the price. The customer can then email the configuration to themselves when done.
We have launched the application with two of our most popular wheels. The first wheel is the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale. THe 360CS interior is almost all carbon already and a CF wheel makes a big impact. The second whell is the Porsche 997 Gen 1 Sport wheel which Porsche does not offer in carbon. We will be adding more wheels over the coming days.
Even with the configurator, properly spec’ing out a wheel involves a lot of decisions. The customer can chat directly with MAcarbon as they use the tool as well as call us.

MAcarbon recently did a custom carbon fiber steering wheel for a Lamborghini Gallardo with a twin turbo kit from Heffner Performance. The car features a unique Lamborghini color called Blu Cepheus, so we customized this wheel with Blu Cepheus stitching and a painted 12 o’clock ring. The top and bottom sections were done in carbon fiber, as well as the wheel center. Check this sweet wheel out!
