Ferrari 458 race car
The SEMA show this year was bigger than ever. An event that we always look forward to, this week long gear-heads dream was a real success. MAcarbon shared our booth this year with T&B Carbon Manufacturing, our European sister company. T&B came all the way from Belgium to debut a new product line, ‘Pearl White Carbon’. This product has a white carbon weave with a subtle pearlescent coating.

Whats your favorite? McLaren or Lamborghini?
We like ‘em both. Pick your favorite color.
Our friends from Wheel Boutique had the beautiful white McLaren MP4-12C parked at the HRE booth. They have great taste as it sports a MAcarbon steering wheel.
While there are always Mustangs and Camaros at SEMA, this year the hot car was the Scion FRS. From mild to wild, this is the car to ‘tune’ this year! But…. don;t hold your breadth for the MAcarbon FRS product line. The cars are always great, but, we also welcome old friends and new ones alike.
One of Lane’s favorites, the old-school Toyota Corrolla
Porsche …. the 911 lives!
Our boys at GMG Racing did this R8 right!
one tricked out C63 AMG Benz!

Director of Laminated Production, Jonathon Tonet and his fiance Laura
President, John Borchelt (T&B and MAcarbon)
Director of Sales & Operations, Lane Skelton
Missing from the photo is Andre Pouliot and Caroline Tonet. Andre is our Director of Molded Production and Caroline is the Director of our European Operations. Despite their ‘slogging’ it at the booth for many hours, we were so busy all week we only remebered to take a picture when they were both off duty.
We look forward working with the many new clients that we met at SEMA this coming year.
MAcarbon was approached by Monster Cable about 6 weeks ago to customize a Segway for the CEO and “Head Monster” Noel Lee. We were also asked to customize a set of their Beats by Dr. Dre headphones in time for the CES show in Las Vegas. CES is an annual show which is hosted by the CEA, the Consumer Electronics Association. This show is a place for every Electronics company to premiere their newest products coming to the Market. Companies Like Sony, Samsung, Microsoft, and Monster have amazing booths with all of their products on display.
We took the challenge and after 6 weeks of work and finishing the build in our hotel room at 4am the first day of the show we were done and giddy with the end result. We also designed the headphones to match and they turned out great. We started out with an appliance like Segway and turned it into what we think is the coolest Segway ever.
This “Monster 16M Segway by MAcarbon” features:
-Standard carbon handlebars
-Standard carbon lower shaft
-Standard carbon base
-Red carbon fenders with Italian stripes and Monster logos
-Red and green carbon collars with white leather center section
-Black powdercoated upper shaft
-Red Alcantara grips
-Ferrari 16M style alloy wheels
-Custom base pad
The “MAcarbon Edition” prototype Beats by Dr. Dre headphones feature:
-red carbon ear cups
-red carbon outside circles/battery cover
-black carbon exterior ear section with Monster Cable logo in Italian colors and “MAcarbon Edition” script in silver
-black piano head band with “Ferrari”
The Monster Cable booth kicked off the show with the biggest attraction at CES. The “Head Monster” rode The MAcarbon Segway onto stage with Lady Gaga and Dr. Dre announcing the new Red headphones by Monster to support the fight to eliminate AIDS in Africa. The MAcarbon headphones were a huge success as well and were given as a gift from The “Head Monster” to the CEO of Best Buy. We are currently working on a production version of MAcarbon Beats headphones and a Lamborghini styled MAcarbon Segway for the “Head Monster”
MAcarbon had a very successful 2009 SEMA show. This was MA’s first year as an exhibitor rather than just an attendee. Our booth was packed for the four days and it seemed like we never stopped talking to people. We signed up quite a few new dealers and made a number of new contacts in the industry.
As in previous years, there was a lot of carbon around. Most of it was junk. I certainly came out of the show knowing we are really are making the best interior carbon out there. I invite you to give us a call and put my assertion to the test!
