SEMA 2017

This upcoming week, we are going to be at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. We don’t have a booth again this year, but we are definitely going to be walking around on the floor and looking at all the cool stuff the industry has to offer. This year there will be over 2,500 new products on display, with over 2,400 exhibiting companies filling over a million square feet of the Las Vegas Convention Center. That’s going to be a lot of walking in a just a couple of days!

We had the wonderful opportunity of working with Heartland Customs on their new Menace project which will be displayed at the Covercraft booth.  Heartland Customs takes classic cars and turns them into modern custom exotic cars.  The guys at Heartland Customs took  a 1972 Chevrolet Corvette and turned it into something marvelous. They redesigned the chassis with their SPECVETTE chassis and then fitted the car with a custom interior. The Menace has a fuel injected 860hp all aluminum 427, six speed manual transmission, and everything else is custom. The Heartland guys say its “basically the most modernized C3 Corvette ever built!” Everything from a new drivetrain, to a new dash, new electronics, new seats, and new upholstery was all custom. These guys even fitted our carbon McLaren airvents into the dash of this car!

The Menace project had about 5 years of planning and we had about 3 weeks to do knock out the carbon interior for them. Door sills, consoles, dash pieces, a diffuser, and a front lip was all done and turned out really nice.   You can check out the entire build by clicking the following link:

We are really excited to this car and all the other cars that are going to be displayed at SEMA. Be sure to check out our Facebook and Instagram for the latest SEMA updates as we will be walking around and sharing our experience.
