MAcarbon’s McLaren MP4-12C product line

With the MP4-12C, McLaren has created a worthy follow-up to the legendary supercar, the F1. The carbon fiber monocoque chassis weighs only 176 pounds. Called a MonoCell, this one-piece pressing has been developed directly from Formula One technology.
MAcarbon is actively working on a variety of carbon fiber parts for the 12C. Despite a simple competition-bred interior, the car has many components that can be enhanced by carbon fiber.
Let’s start with the steering wheel. Some say the factory offering is a little too plain. Make it the focal point of your interior by adding carbon fiber. If you want a thicker wheel, just ask. You can choose smooth leather, suede or a combination of both. A special touch is our fine stitch work that is offered in a variety of colors.
Behind the wheel you will find the shift paddles, or ‘Nicoles’ as McLaren calls them. We offer carbon fiber shift paddle extensions much like the ones that many of our R8 customers rave about. These allow a larger range of hand placement while driving. The installation is simple and only takes a few minutes.

Mclaren MP4-12C carbon fiber grill insert set

With the MP4-12C, McLaren has created a worthy follow-up to the legendary supercar, the F1. MAcarbon is actively working on a variety of carbon fiber parts for the MP4-12C. A recent addition to our McLaren product line is the seven piece carbon fiber grill set. If you have the factory McLaren front lip, they match it perfectly. The job takes about one hour of labor and is quite easy to perform. For such a simple upgrade, you get a huge visual impact.

New Wheel Configurator Version Live!

MAcarbon’s Wheel Configurator enables you to create the perfect custom steering wheel for your exotic or luxury car. Our latest version of the Configurator is now live! We’ve taken our old configuration and streamlined it, adding some new features based on feedback we’ve received from customers.

  • A “Start Order Process” button has been added. This makes it easier for the customer to initiate the order. Before, the customer was left wondering what to do once they had finalized their design. Now, the order process can be initialized right from the Configurator.
  • We’ve added the ability to display photos of each wheel option. This gives you the ability to preview live photos of many stitching, ring, and material patterns. The rightmost column has icons that activate if there are available pictures.
  • We’ve consolidated all our help options into one location at the top right of the screen. This section includes separate buttons for Chat, General Help, and the Wheel Program FAQ.
  • The FAQ answers common questions (duh!) about the wheel program directly form the Configurator. These include things such as
  • Will a Ferrari 360 wheel fit my 355?
  • Will a later model Lamborghini Gallardo wheel fit my earlier model Lamborghini?
  • What is a hub?
  • etc.
  • Thread and ring galleries showing examples of many options have been linked into the Configurator. This pouts all the versions in one place for easy viewing.

Mercedes McLaren SLR Carbon Interior

We recently did our first Mercedes McLaren SLR interior.
John and Lane flew to Florida to assist and take picures of this MAcarbon insterior being installed by Renntech.
Thanks to to Nico @ Renntech of putting up with us!

The SLR is a SUPERCAR in every possible way…Lightning fast, eye catching, expensive, but the interior is boring and looks like it would be in a lesser car.  Every body panel on the SLR is made of carbon fiber, so why not add some of that carbon to the interior.  Our customer ( gave us free reign with this car and we think it turned out amazing.  We did about 25 pieces in carbon and did the rear storage compartment lid, door panel inserts, handbrake boot and shift knob boot in black suede with red stitching.

Enjoy the pictures!
